Bullied by manager from day one out in a grievance and HR did nothing to support from day one. Poor training and lack of management support. Worked for TUI 15 years by far the best company to work for. If you want JUST a job.
Late Holiday Deals
This is for you. Unrealistic targets when you are in a new shop. With no help. Bad pay. Rude staff that cause issues but they get special treatment because they are friends with management. No way of progression. Just on the travel side. Cold calling customers to get them to buy currency from them. Productive and fun workplace. During my typical day at work I would serve customers and help them out finding a holiday or any other queries they had.
I learned a lot while I was here within the travel industry including all the admin, different destinations and currency. The management at Hays Travel would always go out of their own way to make sure you are enjoying your experience within the company and if you were to have any queries they were there to help out.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the staff and getting to meet new customers and being able to to find the customers dream holiday. Enjoyable job with good colleagues within branch. Higher management team do not give the branch members enough recognition and nor are there enough benefits for the salary. Hays travel northwest honest review. Pay minimum wage , one regional manager looking after over 30 shops ridiculous , the staff turnover is ridiculous due to low pay they employ anyone as they have constant staffing issues , they expect you to work through dinners with the promise of time back in quieter months but forbid you to write your time owed down, the pressure to hit targets is stressful , up to 12 targets to hit therefore compromising giving the customer the best deal , most targets are unreachable and all branches struggled to hit alot of them consistently , been in travel many years I've never ever worked for such a poor company with so much lack of disregard for its staff and their well being that said I cannot comment on the other part of hays travel that's not classed as the northwest as they seem to be getting it right and ran by a totally different department.
It was an experience. Absolutely no progression in Foreign Exchange and really unfair bonus system. No recognition for good sales or buybacks. Definitely made to feel far less important and inferior compared to the travel staff. A lot of the management were self centred, very out of touch with their staff and unprincipled. Often treated unfairly and a lot of favouritism in the company.
Very cliquey and unprofessional work ethics shown by colleagues. Poor pay and one rule for one person and a different rule for everyone else. High expectations no thanks. No positive praise or encouragement, very negative and not motivational. Used to be a fab company to work for but as always it got too big and lost the family feel it used to have.
Bloomberg - Are you a robot?
Really good place to work, happy fun environment with lovely staff. Managers do a lot for the staff and honestly can not fault how above and beyond they go for each and every one of there staff members. I have enjoyed working for hays very much. Family orientated. Laidback, fun, work hard play hard, rewarding. Great staff, cares about his staff Loving man who believes happy staff, happy customers and puts this into practise.
High expectations, low pay. I've worked for the company for a few years and have been given plenty of opportunity to develop. They do want to see you grow and progress, but don't want to pay accordingly.
free-online-greetingcards.com/top-mobile-phone-track-app-nokia-9.php Often you'll have to work late which you can have back in lieu but you don't get paid overtime for. Be warned you will have to work Saturdays and often Sundays which makes you feel as though you never leave the office! Good company to get your foot in the door, but you have to do a lot of work for very little money. Friendly staff and and a positive work environment. There isn't anywhere I would want to work after my work experience. I was always busy and I enjoyed what I had to do.
The staff were friendly and great company. Well I wouldnt reccommend to fmaily and friends. Pay and benefits are vertually nothing. Staff are lovely and friendly some managers are not. Alright company to work for all in all but there are no benefits and the pay is minimum.
